Regular vacuuming is Vital to retaining your carpet’s good looks. Place mats at the entrance to your home or office from outside. This will minimise the amount of dust & dirt brought into the home. Don’t forget to regularly clean your mats. Try to limit bringing food & drinks onto carpeted areas. You should have your carpets professionally cleaned every year or so. Choose a reputable company such as Andersens Carpet Cleaning. A poor quality clean can potentially damage your carpet. If your carpet gets marked or stained, make sure you try to remove the mark or stain immediately. The longer it remains the harder it will be to remove. Be prepared for potential marks & stains before they occur. Put together a small kit to have handy for when stains occur. You can get what you need from the supermarket & hardware store. Your kit should include: Absorbent cleaning cloths, Small bottle of dry cleaning solvent, Small bottle of white vinegar, Small bottle of ammonia, Keep it somewhere safe, out of the reach of children.
