Sunbathing
Addicts
Exposure to UV rays stimulates the release of "feel-good"
chemicals in the blood, which may explain why some people are prepared
to ignore the fact that too much sun exposure can cause cancer.
Going on a long trip?
Try these tips to reduce jet lag.
1. Use light to your advantage. when travelling east, go out in
the morning and midday light; when going west, head outdoors , in
the middle and late afternoon.
2. Follow the "jet lag diet" for three days before you
leave - alternating feast days (when you eat a high - protein breakfast/lunch
and a high carbohydrate dinner) with fast days (when you concume
small amounts of soup, salad, and fruit).
3. Start shifting your sleep/wake cycle before your departure.
4. Drink lots of water during the flight, and avoid caffeine and
alcohol.
