Meatballs
in Ginger & Raisin Sauce Recipe
Minced Steak, Water, Egg, Beef Bouillon Cubes,
Bread Crumbs, Brown Sugar, Onion, Raisins, Plain Flour, Lemon Juice, Vinegar,
Salt, Gingernut Biscuits.

Ingredients
500gm minced steak
2½ cups water
1 egg
2 beef bouillon cubes
¾ cup soft bread crumbs
One third of a cup brown sugar
1 onion (finely chopped)
¼ cup raisins
¼ cup plain flour
2 tablespoons lemon juice or vinegar
Pinch salt
½ cup gingernut crumbs (6 Arnotts biscuits)
Method
Combine meat with eggs, bread crumbs, onion, plain flour and salt. Shape
into 1 inch balls. Bring water to boil, stir in bouillon cubes, sugar,
raisins, lemon juice and gingernut crumbs. Add meatballs, spooning sauce
over. Cook for approximately 1¼ hours stirring occasionally. Makes
