The shocking attack renews the political and public outcry for both a Mutant Registration Act, and an anti-mutant movement, now led by William Stryker (with an interesting past). Stryker (a vocal, wealthy, former commander for the Army) is rumored to have experimented on mutants. Stryker's "work" on mutants is somehow linked with Logan's/Wolverine's foggy past. As Logan/Wolverine searches for clues to his origin, Stryker begins his anti-mutant program--launching a massive attack on Professor Xavier's mansion. Magneto, newly escaped from his plastic prison, proposes a partnership with Professor Xavier and the X-Men to combat Stryker (their now common and formidable enemy) With the fates of Xavier, mankind, and mutantkind, in their hands, the X-Men face their most dangerous mission yet.

All the original cast members have returned. There are also two more mutant super heroes. "Nightcrawler" - played by a blue-skinned, yellow-eyed Alan Cumming. Nightcrawler teleports himself by using special contortionist abilities and “spatial awareness”. "Pyro" - whose ability is to manipulate fire, is to be played by Aaron Stanford. Hugh Jackman
