Footy Legends tells the story of Luc Vu, a young man with an obsession about football. I, Robot
Based on the works of acclaimed sci-fi author, Isaac Asimov, I, Robot is set in the year 2035AD when it is commonplace for robots to work for their human owners. Will Smith plays a Chicago cop who investigates the murder of a scientist in which a robot is implicated, suggesting that it has broken the 3 Laws of Robotics, which ensure the safety of humans.



Jindabyne (M)
Outside the town of Jindabyne, local man, Stewart is on a fishing trip with friends when they discover the body of a dead woman. In Steven Spielberg's futuristic sci-fi thriller, Minority Report; Tom Cruise goes on the run after being accused of a murder that will happen in the future - Confused yet? This movie is good to watch and also delves deeper for those who like the added intellectual debate. Reported earnings figures in the US suggested around $US35.7 million turnover on the opening weekend.

Terminator 2: Judgement Day
Released in 1991, was the follow up to the 1984 cult classic The Terminator. Both films were produced and directed by Academy Award Winner James Cameron, and stared Arnold Schwarzenegger as the T-800. T2 quickly became a worldwide success, establishing a new paradigm for action films. The film opens with the arrival of the Terminator in a deserted part of the city. Flexing his muscles as if to test for mobility, he goes in search of clothing and transportation necessary to his mission. This time the deadly T-800, developed in the future by Cyberdine as the ultimate killing machine, has been reprogrammed by John Connor, and sent back in time as protector of both he and his mother, Sarah Connor. In another part of the city a more advanced Terminator appears from the future sent to thwart the T-800's mission. Quickly overpowering a police officer, he assumes his identity, and takes his weapon and car. A T-1000 Terminator model, the Terminator is composed of liquid metal and able to take the shape and identity of anything it physically samples. These two machines will do deadly battle over the course of the film, each fighting to preserve a future world; a world of war or peace, decided by the surviving machine.


The Aviator (M) 2004
Nominated for 11 Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Martin Scorsese’s film tells the story of billionaire aviation pioneer and moviemaker, Howard Hughes (Leonardo DiCaprio) from the late 1920s to the 1940s and his relationship with Hollywood greats like Katharine Hepburn (Cate Blanchett).


The Interpreter
Nicole Kidman stars in this political thriller about an interpreter at the United Nations who overhears an assassination plot and is assigned a federal agent (Sean Penn) to protect her when she becomes a target herself.


The Lake House (PG)
A lonely doctor who once occupied an unusual lakeside home begins exchanging love letters with its newest resident, a frustrated architect. When they discover that they're actually living two years apart, they must try to unravel the mystery behind their extraordinary romance before it's too late. (Rating: PG Mild themes; Mild coarse language)


The Sentinel (M)
A Special Agent suspects that the neo-Nazi Aryan Disciples have positioned one of their own in the White House, but his investigation is cut short by a blackmailer who knows of his affair with the First Lady and tries to frame him for murder. (Rating: M Moderate violence).

War of the Worlds
In 1953 you may have seen the original alien invasion (created by H.G. Wells) entitled The War of the Worlds. The film was made for $2 million and was a huge hit. The 'New' War of the Worlds was 50 years old in 2003 and has been remade by Paramount Pictures. Tom Cruise is the star.
