Contantine
(M)
It has become alarmingly clear that we are
not alone on this planet. Movies have revealed that aliens and vampires
have long been wandering around unnoticed while carrying out their missions
– which, in most cases, are certainly not beneficial to the human
race.

Now, in Constantine – based on characters
from the DC Comics/Vertigo graphic novels, Hellblazer - we find that there
is more to contend with in the shape of half-breed angels and demons.
In human form they may look like us but let’s face it, they’re
not at all.

John Constantine (Keanu Reeves) knows
something about them. Born with the ability to recognise these otherworldly
beings, he found it was a talent he did not want and one that tormented
him so much that he tried, unsuccessfully, to commit suicide.

Now, back amongst the living, Constantine
is an increasingly bitter and disillusioned man who, as a kind of supernatural
detective, must wage war on these creatures while walking a thin line
between good and evil, heaven and hell.

Angela Dodson (Rachel Weisz) is a police
detective who enlists Constantine’s help in solving the suicide
death of her twin sister. It is an investigation that takes them into
the unearthly world that exists just below the landscape of contemporary
Los Angeles.
