About Grafton

Port Macquarie's Town Beach - as seen from a balcont of the Observatory Resort Located about 40km west of the coastline & 625km north / north east of Sydney, Grafton is at the junction of the Pacific Highway & Gwydir Highway. The city is bisected by the Clarence River.

Grafton has a very beautiful & gracious city centre characterised by its wide streets, Victorian style buildings & a superb location on the banks of the Clarence River. The first ornamental trees were planted in 1874 and the city's famous jacaranda stands were planted from 1907 through to 1908.
